Dovi says Ducati turning a corner

-

‘We’re trying something that’s not easy to understand’

Andrea Dovizioso says he’s quietly optimistic about the Ducati GP19 after his first test on the bike at Valencia hinting that they have made progress on the Desmo’s speed-sapping mid-corner turning issues. He said: “We found something interesting, but I’m saying ‘interesting’ because we have to try it at a different track with different conditions first. We’re trying something very difficult that’s not easy to understand, so we have to take our decisions carefully. “

However, while Dovi was cautious, Aussie Jack Miller was on cloud nine after finishing fourth and getting the chance to jump from a 2017 machine to a new 2019 bike as he takes over the factory-supported slot at Pramac from Petrucci.
