Ready for a dust-up

The recent Met Police initiative of knocking scooter and moped thugs off their bikes is to be applauded. However, why does this have to be achieved using expensive-to-repair BMW cars? Why not use a few clapped-out Dacia Dusters instead, saving the taxpayers a fortune?
