Bagnaia top of the rookies

Pecco Bagnaia made the most of the refined 2018 Pramac Ducati to finish the final tests of the year as fastest rookie, impressively making it inside the top ten on overall times. However, despite a close field that saw a second covering the top 15, all the rookies impressed across, with Fabio Quartararo only 0.1s behind Rossi in 12th and Suzuki newcomer Joan Mir in 15th despite a high-speed crash on the opening day.
