Part of Lorenzo’s problem was while Ducati worked hard to make the bike fast, they left the rider to do his own job. That meant it took over 20 races before he got the changes he needed; namely a reshaped fuel tank. MCN’s sources suggest a big shift in attention towards the Spaniard within HRC (a custom fuel tank was already on the bike at Jerez). It seems Honda have already listened to his needs and responded rapidly.
