Many individual components of pre-workout supplements, such as creatine, caffeine and BCAAs, have been extensively researched and proven effective. But there’s a lack of data about effects of multi-ingredient pre-workout supplements (MIPS) that combine the lot. However, a new study has shown that MIPS are effective at increasing both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems, and boost performance in high-intensity interval workouts.1 Just make sure there’s not too many other unnecessary ingredients, such as artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners, in yours.
