Coolsculpt­ing – or cryolipolysis, to give it its sci­en­tific name – is the process of ap­ply­ing low tem­per­a­tures to spe­cific body parts. Fat cells are more sen­si­tive to low mer­cury than skin cells are, so the cold kills them.
