ALEXIS PINTURAULT
At 27, the French skiing ace already has an impressive medal haul, including a silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics. His style? Precise and fuss-free
5.30am I get up pretty early when I’m training and tend to throw on a Colmar hoody
(1), tee and trackpants. I’m a big fan of a full English; it keeps me fuelled for a day in sub-zero temperatures.
5.55am L’occitane shower gel and shampoo (2) are my go-tos. The essential oils stop your hair and skin from feeling coarse and flaky. And I appreciate L’occitane’s commitment to natural ingredients.
6.10am I shave with a Gillette Proglide razor. The flexible head makes it easier to reach awkward areas of your face, helping you avoid the cat- claw nicks that often come with shaving.
6.15am As a pro skier, I need the best kit. I wear Colmar skiwear and use Head alpine skis (3) – both brands make dependable, stylish gear, engineered to optimise performance, so I can focus on form.
6.30am I always wear my Richard Mille watch (4). When I’m skiing at 100km per hour, clipping ski gates, my watch needs to be able to take a hit – and Richard Mille’s are well known for their shock resistance. 5.30pm If I’m going somewhere smart, a J Lindeberg cashmere rollneck is usually at the top of my list. It keeps you at the right temperature, doesn’t make you sweat, and is nice and thin, too.
5.45pm On milder days, I might go for an Emporio Armani shirt. Mostly, I choose a classic white: I’m not into pinstripes or patterns. I like clean cotton. Armani cuts its shirts in a closer fit, which I prefer.
5.59pm I’m fairly tall, with muscular legs. I find Hugo Boss trousers
fit me off the rack perfectly. Like the trousers, Boss’s jackets are well cut and finished, and they work well with denim. 6.05pm When it comes to formal footwear, J Lindeberg’s leather Oxfords are among my favourites. If a brand is a good fit in terms of style and quality, I’ll return to it for my other bits.
6.11pm When it’s snowing and I need something on my feet with a bit more heft, I rely on my Timberlands
(6). They’re built like tanks and can get you through the worst conditions.
6.27pm I like my fragrances to be light and fresh, rather than heavy. Kenzo Homme is refreshing and uplifting. I’ll spritz once or twice – you don’t want it to be overwhelming.
