Bell & Ross
Despite being a relative newcomer to the industry, Paris-based Bell & Ross, founded in 1992, has managed to make in-roads into the competitive aviation watch market. Born of Bruno Belamich’s and Carlos Rosillo’s shared ambition to produce functional, durable timepieces, B&R watches can be seen on the wrists of astronauts, pilots, divers and bomb disposal experts. Those with more conventional nine-to-fives are also drawn to the brand’s hyper-technical pieces. Its “function shapes form” mantra informs clear dials with large-print numbers, rugged, waterproof cases and a distinctive circle-in-a-square motif – perfectly encapsulated by the BR 01, its signature square chronograph. In 2020, B&R continued to offer high-octane designs. “We launched a new collection in collaboration with the Renault F1 team,” says Rosillo. “The result is a futuristic collection anchored in the present.”
