ATONE FOR YOUR XMAS EXCESSES IN 20 MINUTES

The last thing you need this festive season is the logistical nightmare of fitting in a huge session. So, we devised three quick-fire, full-body workouts to ensure that you can have your pudding and eat it, too

-

To say that this year has been “stressful” would be a bit like referring to the sinking of the Titanic as “a nautical mishap”. What you need right now is a real break, full of all the festivities, frivolities, hangovers and other financially crippling activities that December usually heralds (lockdowns permitting, of course).

Yet that doesn’t mean you should let training slide entirely. After all, a regular investment in exercise will do more than just tighten your chunky knit sleeves and brighten your mood. Studies have shown that exercise can lead to a 72% improvement in time management and the workload completed on your training days – worth bearing in mind if you want to get off to a running start in 2021.

What follows is an ideal tonic: focused 20-minute, full-body workouts that don’t just check all of your fitness boxes but can be performed in the gym or at home with basic weights; and a hybrid running and bodyweight blast to get you on the road to a clearer head (and bigger biceps).

Just fit them in when you can, no scheduling required. ’Tis the season, after all.

With thanks to District Fitness*
