01 TRAP BAR MID-THIGH PULL
Place an empty trap bar in a squat rack, with the supports at mid-thigh height. Stand inside the bar. Lower your torso until you can grasp the bar. This is the start. Stand, driving the bar into the supports. Drive upwards for 10 seconds. That’s 1 set; do 3.
02 POWER-FOCUSED TRAP BAR DEADLIFT
Stand in the centre of a trap bar loaded with a light weight. Tighten your abs, push your bum back and bend your knees, lowering your torso until you can grasp the bar. Tighten your core and jump off the floor. Land and lower the bar. That’s 1 rep; do 3 sets of 3.
03 VERTICAL MED-BALL TOSS
Holding a 3.5kg medicine ball at your hips, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your core and glutes tight. Push your bum back slightly and bend your knees, lowering the ball. Then explode upwards and throw the ball as high as you can; you may jump off the floor as you do this. That’s 1 rep; do 3 sets of 5.
