Veggie Pret
The jury’s still out as to whether all Prets will one day go veggie, or if the nine in London (plus one in Manchester) will remain special interest destinations. But the experiment has been a success. The veggie stores play to Pret’s strengths: consistency, value, speed and freshness, while gently nudging diners from meatball subs and jambon beurre baguettes towards meatfree twists on classics. An antioxidant-stuffed baguette of avocado, tomato and mushroom, coupled with an absurdly good value coffee subscription, is an ideal backto-the-office breakfast.
