IRON MAIDEN

DANCE OF DEATH

-

Dance Of Death was the second Iron Maiden album to feature returning vocalist Bruce Dickinson and beloved six-stringer Adrian Smith.

Hammer’s reviewer, Tommy Udo, referred to leaks of a rumour that the band had been planning to make a “self-consciously modern record”. Thankfully, what fans got instead was an album that played to all of the group’s usual strengths, and one that Tommy ranked “in the top half” of their then-13 strong full-length catalogue. Awarding the release a more-than-decent 8/10, he summed up: “In terms of the band’s 25-year history,

Dance Of Death is a good Maiden record, though as latter-day Maiden albums go it’s a great one.” Fair.
