SYNTH CITY
Four other synthwave artists you need to know about carpenter brut
Arguably the second most significant graduate of the new synthwave generation, fellow Parisian Franck hueso makes the kind of 80s-heavy keyboard anthems built for action movie montages. his Trilogy album is one of the scene’s hallmark releases.

GOST
Gost emphasies synthwave’s metal cred with videos and imagery steeped in horror and darkness – look at the cover for 2015’s suitably named Behemoth album to see what we mean. the man also dons a creepy skeleton mask for his live shows. a night out in Ibiza this definitely ain’t.

LAZERHAWK
Sonically less fullthrottled than most of his peers, texasbased lazerhawk – aka Garrett hays – creates sheeny soundscapes better suited to strolling along a sunsetpainted beach than pretending you’re in GTA: Vice City. If you like your synth a little more chilled, he’s the man for you.

DYNATRON
Denmark’s chief contribution to the cause comes in the form of Dynatron, one of the New Wave of Synth… er… wave’s earliest flagbearers, having been on the scene for well over five years. he’s still producing great stuff, too, and is believed to be working on new material.
