CONJURER
Underground favourites prepare to rise up
One of the most hotly tipped underground names of 2017, Conjurer will be unleashing their debut full-length, Mire, next month via the reliably badass holy Roar. “We’ve been compared to a so many different bands – Gojira, Converge and Mastodon to name a few – but, in reality, we probably don’t sound like any of them for more than half a song at a time,” ponders frontman Dan Nightingale. “We like sludge, hardcore, black metal, post-rock, doom and a whole lot more, and like to think that at least a little of all of these influences can be heard inbetween our stonking great riffs”
heading out on a small tour in the wake of the album’s release, expect Conjurer to be appearing all over bills across the UK – and beyond – as the year progresses. “We’d really like to play some more festivals, especially over on the continent – that would be incredible,” adds Dan.
