WHAT’S THE MOST ILLEGAL THING YOU’VE EVER DONE
“There was the time I dropped a litre vodka bottle out of the 14th floor of a hotel in San Francisco. That was pretty bad and a stupid idea. Thankfully, nobody got hurt. Or the time I shoplifted two bottles out of a German truck stop with an unnamed WWE wrestler. That was last year. We were running through the carpark going, ‘What are we doing?’ It could have been Chris Jericho, main event WWE guy, busted for shoplifting. Why did we do it? Because they weren’t selling them to us! Ha ha ha!”
WHAT’S THE MOST METAL ALBUM YOU OWN?
“If aliens came down from space to look at my collection, I would play them Iron Maiden’s Powerslave and Metallica’s Master Of Puppets. To me, they are the epitome of heavy metal.”
WHAT’S THE WORST INJURY YOU’VE EVER HAD?
“I broke my arm and had a steel plate put in there. They told me I’d be out for 16 weeks and I was back in six. That’s the only wrestling injury I’ve ever had, apart from a herniated disc. Oh, and I chipped a tooth on a microphone onstage with Fozzy.”
WHAT’S THE MOST YOU’VE EVER BEEN SICK?
“I don’t get sick much, but the day before Download last year I got the worst ever bout of diarrhoea – four times! Thankfully it went away before I went onstage.”
WHAT’S THE GROSSEST THING YOU’VE EVER HAD IN YOUR MOUTH?
“We did a tour a few years ago with a Swedish band called Sister, and we were out partying and the singer offered me some chewing tobacco. I was like, ‘Yeah, sure!’ So I put it in my mouth, and within about a minute and a half, I said to our tech, ‘Dude, you’ve got me out of here now.’ He took me on the bus and I threw up over everything. I just couldn’t get this taste out of my mouth. I found out later that it was the most potent, gross tobacco there is.”
WHAT’S THE WORST FIGHT YOU HAVE EVER BEEN IN?
“That would be wrestlers versus kickboxers versus skinheads in Manchester! WWE pulled up in a hotel… there had been a kickboxing event there and there were some skinheads hanging around, too. Someone asked Triple H for an autograph, he didn’t give it to them and shit suddenly got crazy. It was like a Mexican movie. I remember one of us just sitting on a guy and laughing.”
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BLED?
“I’m not much of a bleeder, but the last time I wrestled in WWE I bled in my mouth a bit.”
WHAT’S THE RAREST PIECE OF MERCHANDISE YOU OWN?
“I have a [ice hockey icon] Wayne Gretzky card, which I just found out someone sold one of for $300,000. I thought I knew exactly where mine was, but it wasn’t there, so I was tearing my house apart, but I can’t find it! I also have To Hell With The Devil by Stryper with the original album cover. Oh, another thing I have is a Paul Stanley shirt from the Crazy Nights tour. They did a Paul one and a Gene one but I got Paul.”
WHAT’S YOUR MOST PAINFUL TATTOO OR PIERCING?
“I got The Beatles walking across Abbey Road down on my wristline. That was one of the most torturous things I’ve ever experienced.”
WHAT’S THE MOST METAL PHOTO ON YOUR PHONE?
“It’d have to be me and Tony Iommi, but there’s a follow-up to that. Tony tweeted before the Metal Hammer Golden Gods saying, ‘Going to the Metal Hammer awards on Monday. Excited to see Chris Jericho again.’ I was like, ‘Dude, that is fucking great.’”
