FOUR PREVIOUS GHOST CUTS
Opus Eponymous
RISE ABOVE – 2010
Rough around the edges by the standards of what came next, all of the ingredients are still present and correct on Ghost’s debut. We said that “if Hammer recruited an in-house band, Ghost would get the job”. And we stand by that!
Infestissumam
LOMA VISTA – 2013
The first sign of things to come, as Ghost suddenly and successfully introduced the lush, layered production and vocal harmonies that have become their trademark. Not as heavy as many had hoped, but a necessary step in Tobias Forge’s masterplan.
Meliora
LOMA VISTA – 2015
An ambitious step, Meliora saw Ghost crank up the fuzz and saturate their ever-more-prog, occult-obsessed rock with enough riffs and solos to please even the most cynical metalhead. In retrospect, He Is undeniably offered a taste of things to come.
Popestar
LOMA VISTA – 2016
The EP that changed everything. As well as hinting at Prequelle’s 80s influences by covering Eurythmics and Echo & The Bunnymen, Popestar changed the world of metal by providing Ghost with their first solid-gold rock club banger: Square Hammer.
