“I can’t answer that – it’s incriminating me for something I’ve got away with for the first time in my life!”

“Reign In Blood by Slayer. It’s good for the gym if you’re in a bad mood and you need to shake off the attitude, but it’s a serious record so if you put that on, you better be ready for it!”
WHAT’S THE WORST
INJURY YOU’VE EVER HAD?
“I’ve never broken a bone or needed stitches. I once had arthroscopic surgery for a twisted knee where they popped a few holes in my knee to go in one side with a camera and the other with a cutting tool to trim off tears in my tendon.”
WHAT’S THE MOST YOU’VE EVER BEEN SICK?
“I had food poisoning over a pepperoni pizza once. It was an all-nighter. I feel sick even talking about it now.”
WHAT’S THE GROSSEST THING YOU’VE EVER HAD IN YOUR MOUTH?
“I was shooting a music video for What’s In Your Mouth for a punk metal band called Strip Mind before Godsmack. The director wanted a crazy artsy scene where I laid down and they put gigantic cockroaches all over my face. One crawled inside my mouth and the crew liked it so much, they wanted me to put it in my mouth for another shot and open my mouth so it could crawl out on camera.”
WHAT’S THE WORST FIGHT YOU’VE EVER BEEN IN?
“I was 16 years old and it was a pretty bad fight over nothing – some spilt beer at a party that turned into me getting attacked with a knife and having to pull a shotgun on the same person. The opening in my book The Paths We Choose tells the whole story. It was stupidity that could’ve cost me my life or put me in prison but luckily I got away with a little injury and nothing life-changing.”
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BLED?
“A few years ago, my sister rented a pontoon boat. As it drove off, I grabbed a platform and the force split my fingertips open. The tips of my fingers were flapping open, so I taped them up. The next night I was playing bongos during the show and the wounds broke open.
There was blood all over my drums.”
WHAT’S THE RAREST PIECE OF MERCHANDISE YOU OWN?
“My autographed Joe Perry signature Gibson Les Paul. Aerosmith changed my life when I was young; I went from wanting to be a musician to being a rockstar. Years later, I met Joe and got an autographed guitar.”
WHAT’S YOUR MOST PAINFUL TATTOO OR PIERCING?
“I have a tattoo of a skull hand coming out of my hip bone and scratching my ribs. It was really hot in the tattoo parlour that day; I started to see sparkles in my eyes.”
