WHAT’S THE MOST ILLEGAL THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?
“You guys are gonna be so disappointed – I’m a good boy! Really! I’m not even giving you a ‘political answer’. I don’t believe in doing anything illegal. I’ve never stolen, I’ve never had a parking ticket, I’ve never broken the law! I’m a horrible rock star.”
WHAT’S THE MOST METAL ALBUM YOU OWN?
“I dunno if it’d be the most metal thing now, but it was pretty metal for a 15-year-old. I bought Immortal’s Damned In Black. I’ve got a few Gorgoroth albums – those are pretty metal.”
WHAT’S THE WORST INJURY YOU’VE EVER HAD?
“It was an infection, back in 2005. I had a small cut in my leg from a wrestling match, and I think the ring at the time wasn’t very clean. I got such a bad infection that I was hallucinating. My mom said, ‘You have to go to the doctor right now. Your skin is turning grey and there are black veins on your legs.’ It took me out for two months.”
WHAT’S THE MOST YOU’VE EVER BEEN SICK?
“Oh, it was that infection. That definitely answers that question.”
WHAT’S THE GROSSEST THING YOU’VE EVER HAD IN YOUR MOUTH?
“I think cow tongue. I had that in Japan, of course. How did it taste? Terrible!”
WHAT’S THE WORST FIGHT YOU’VE EVER BEEN IN?
“It would be the first fight I ever had in my life. It was in a martial arts setting. I got knocked out in five seconds.”
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU BLED?
“When I wrestled Hideo Itami at Takeover and he broke my nose with a knee.”
WHAT’S THE RAREST PIECE OF MERCHANDISE YOU OWN?
“Ah, it’s probably a Dimmu Borgir t-shirt from ’98. I can’t remember what is says, but I know I still have it at home. I love Dimmu Borgir, always have. There was a hardcore band from the late 70s and early 80s called Jesus And The Gospel Fuckers. This was a band by MMA legend Bob Schrijber and his brother. I have an album of theirs that is very rare, too.”
WHAT’S YOUR MOST PAINFUL TATTOO OR PIERCING?
“That’ll be my back tattoo. It was terrible. It was just non-stop pain. There was no moment in that back piece that it got comfortable for me… ever. I couldn’t sit for more than an hour and a half. And it took a year and a half to finish, because I was such a whiny little boy! Ha ha ha!”
WHAT’S THE MOST METAL PICTURE ON YOUR PHONE?
“I’d say some of the cool fan art people do. They make me look like a gnarly beast and stuff like that.”
