Senzar

HOSTILE MEDIA FORMER COLDWAR WARRIORS SEEK ONTOLOGICAL ENLIGHTENMENT Formed from the ashes of Dublin riff lords Coldwar, the justlaunched Senzar have announced their arrival on the extreme metal scene in riotous fashion with this titanic, title-shunning debut opus. Aiming to “explore the unity and multiplicity of being” via the medium of head-cracking guitars and paint-stripping vocals, the six-song-strong release offers a ferocious first taste of what this new band of seasoned veterans can do. Setting their stall out strongly with the monstrous, molar-rattling CI, the band flirt with BM indebted atmospherics (CIII) and bludgeoning, super fast crust-flecked hardcore riffs (CV) over the course of around 30 minutes. Vocalist Trevor McLave proves that you can also teach an old dog new tricks and he sometimes adds a sinister edge to his voice which gives the likes of the crushing CII even more menace.
