4 Murderdolls Dawn Of The Dead (beyond the valley of the murDerDollS, 2002)
Initially seen as What Joey Did Next, Murderdolls ended up being one of the most unlikely but beloved side-projects in metal history, not least thanks to introducing the world at large to the macabre talents of a certain Wednesday 13. this cut from their excellent debut album pays homage to the middle chapter of George a romero’s hugely influential ...Living Dead trilogy. a suitably schlocky punk rock anthem, it somehow managed to make the idea of the unstoppable zombie hordes tearing our faces to shreds seem like jolly good fun. Not that we’re willing to test that theory.
CHOICE LYRIC: “We are the dead and we’re coming for you / Because we are the dead”
