Nagged To Death FYSISK FORMAT Stavanger hardcore punks keep the Stockholm furnace stocked

The rise of the Entombed-style rumble in the hardcore world over the last decade has risen to the point where it’s basically an established genre of its own. And, frankly, what’s not to love about the speed and pummel of punk rock mixed with that gloriously rattling buzz of Swedish death metal? Nag have thrown a little bit of Venom into the mix as well, and their second album will obviously be lapped up by those who just get a giddy thrill out of this type of crusty hardcore. It’s hard to be too negative about Nagged To Death – this music just feels fucking great all the time. But, as fun as it is, the very best of this scene never forgets how good a group of songwriters the Swedish pioneers were, which is where Nag fall down slightly.
