ARISING EMPIRE Anthemic punk and post-hardcore with an eclectic edge

Fantasy sees Landmvrks building on the promise of their 2016 debut, plucking influences from all corners and switching between different sonic personas. Nineties punk rock nuances sit alongside huge choruses while elsewhere glass-gargling vocals more synonymous with post-hardcore take centre stage. Bursts of progressive noodling emerge from Scars while the stunning outro of electronica-drenched

Disdain makes for a standout moment. Wandering into the clubhouse where Northlane and Invent, Animate hang out, the Germans assimilate the modern take on sprawling anthemics. Almost every track succeeds, ranging from harmonically complex riffs to pitinducing breakdowns.

Fantasy proves you can take a glance back to move forwards.
