The Timing of A Season Of Blasphemy might be fortuitous, arriving in between the release of Jonas Åkerlund’s Lords Of Chaos movie detailing Mayhem’s bloody, fiery past, and bassist Necrobutcher’s book, The Death Archives, but box sets as exquisitely put together as this don’t come without a long time of planning. Limited to 1,000 copies, it’s a stunning tribute to black metal’s founding fathers.
