I Let The Devil In
SHARPTONE Connecticut djentlemen bring an emotional weight to their riffs Connecticut’s Currents extended their comfort zone with 2017’s The Place
I Feel Safest, combining abrasive fury and unashamed euphoria as a result of Brian Wille’s immersive cleans. Having reworked all five songs over several years, this follow-up is as versatile as it is emotionally intelligent.
Into Despair’s tangle of rage and beauty is immediately addictive, while My Disguise and Feel The Same are infused with memorable, sing-along choruses, offering up the sort of electronica-laden melodic aggression that you’d hear from Architects at their most anthemic. The second half is heavier; roaring vocals drive djent-fuelled, spiralling epic The Rope, which commands the ears like Northlane-on-steroids before closing in raw, uncompromising style.
I Let The Devil In is honest and instantly accessible.
