SOFY MAJOR
Total Dump
CORPSE FLOWER Gallic noise rockers continue to push the sonic envelope
Sofy Major’s 2015 album,
Waste, was a hidden jewel that was buried by both scene saturation and their unique noise rock approach. Nevertheless, it was the lone and shining constellation in the intersection of Amrep abrasion, bearable 90s alt-rock and the ballsy side of 80s hair metal no one knew they wanted or how vital it could sound in the right hands. Total Dump continues in the same vein with fat-bottom riffs, aortic rhythms, ridiculously catchy choruses and simple but infectious vocal phrasing that will have even the grumpiest of elitists basking in the good vibes elicited by one of noise rock’s most powerful power trios.
