PEACEVILLE

Nordic black metallers emerge from personal devastation

Mork’s fourth full-length is the product of the strangest and darkest period of mainman Thomas Eriksen’s life. Finding himself in the centre of what he’s described as “a tornado of tragedy and misery” that threatened to take over his very existence a few years ago, the multi-instrumentalist/ part-time beer brewer has channelled all of that anger, sorrow and pain he felt into new music, creating what is arguably his rawest and most rewarding collection of material yet. Driven by a magnificently meaty drum sound, fans of old-school black metal and black’n’roll have much to sink their teeth into and På Tvers Av Tidene – which tips a cap to Slayer’s Seasons In The Abyss – is particularly monstrous. ■■■■■■■■■■
