Chester’s death shone further light on mental health in the music scene

It is testament to Chester Bennington’s character that his final months were spent tirelessly drawing attention to issues surrounding mental health. Deeply affected by the tragic passing of friend Chris Cornell, Bennington highlighted the human cost incurred by losing his own battle against personal demons. Tributes poured in from far and wide, showing not just the immense influence he had on the modern music landscape, but the warmth he exhibited. Even after his passing, Bennington influenced positive change in the world – his death promoting open dialogue concerning mental health in music, led in part by the charity organisation set up by his family, 320 Changes Direction.
