Kreuzung NAPALM
Australian retro-rockers scrape off the polish
Two years ago Australia’s Mammoth Mammoth were left without a drummer and guitarist and struggled to find a producer who could capture a decent vintage sound. Then they moved to Berlin, found killer replacements and recorded at the Kadavar-hosting Big Snuff Studio. The result is an album that has thrown off the polished shackles of 2017’s Mount The Mountain. Born frontman Mikey Tucker has taken a slight step back from the mic and new guitarist Marco Gennnaro has a presence on heady tracks like the amped-up shindig
Screamin’, crazy rock’n’ roller Motherf@cker and the infectious Tear It Down. If skull-emblazoned patches and beer-guzzling, risqué Aussie lads with a penchant for AC/DC is your bag,
Kreuzung is worth a punt. ■■■■■■■■■■
