Beyond Malice are ornate labyrinths of mutant violence, executed with psychotic commitment. The gothic horror aesthetic of much blackened death is entirely absent; even the monochrome artwork is genuinely alien and unsettling. Throne’s rabid, brakes-off mentality is obscenely exciting. ■■■■■■■■■■
