PATCHED-UP MEL BOUNCES BACK FROM ‘AWFUL’ BLINDNESS SCARE

MEL B has described the ‘awful experience’ of going blind only days before the Spice Girls tour kicks off. Scary Spice lifted the lid on her emergency dash to Moorfields Eye Hospital in London on Friday as she shared a snap of herself wearing a bandage patch. ‘Just so you know the real truth,’ posted Mel, 43. ‘I had an awful experience last week when I went blind in my right eye and my left eye went blurry.’

The singer had already lost vision in her left eye following botched laser surgery 20 years ago. Commenting on her latest emergency, she added: ‘Just to be clear I was NOT OK and this has NEVER EVER happened to me before.’

Mel’s update came as Geri Horner unveiled the stage set for the Spices’ tour, which opens in Dublin on Friday. Geri, 46, posted an Instagram picture of herself rehearsing alongside Mel C. In a separate snap Mel B, who said she had a fling with Geri in the ’90s, cuddled up to Emma Bunton. Geri wrote: ‘Spice World Production rehearsals done! Welcome to Spice World 2019!’
