Separatists out of jail to join Spanish parliament

FOUR Catalan separatists – held over the region’s attempted breakaway from Spain in 2017 – have been allowed out of prison to take their seats in parliament.

Former regional vice president Oriol Junqueras appeared in the Congress of Deputies along with three others. They are accused of rebellion and face decades in jail.
