Kazakh ruler’s grand­son ‘at­tacked PC in London flat’

THE grand­son of Kaza­khstan’s pres­i­dent bit a po­lice of­fi­cer who tried to stop him killing him­self, a court heard. Aisul­tan Nazarbayev is ac­cused of leav­ing ‘a very se­ri­ous bite’ on PC Ross Sam­brook af­ter he was found at a flat in Covent Gar­den on June 5. The 28-year-old, whose grand­fa­ther is pres­i­dent Nur­sul­tan Nazarbayev, has been charged with as­sault caus­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm and crim­i­nal dam­age. He was re­manded un­til his case re­turns next Thurs­day.
