■ WALKING, cycling or taking the train to work cuts the risk of heart disease or cancer by up to 24 per cent, a study of 300,000 commuters by Imperial College London and Cambridge university has found.

■ THREE more men have been arrested over Sunday’s shooting of Aya Hachem, 19, in Blackburn. Two, aged 31 and 35, are being held on suspicion of murder, with a third, 29, on suspicion of aiding an offender. Three others remain in custody.

■ BANANARAMA’S two remaining members are to release a memoir chronicling ‘the highs and lows of fame’. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward will launch Really Saying Something on October 29.
