TONIGHT’S TV CHOICE
Hitched At Home: Our Lockdown Wedding C4, 9pm
Wedding plans are among the many things being scuppered by the Covid-19 crisis but at least one happy, loving couple will tie the knot, courtesy of incorrigible romantic Fred Sirieix. The First Dates maitre d’ is playing best man, maid of honour, page boy and any other nuptial role you can name to Patrick and Louise, lending a celebrity flair to their vows.
Comedians: Home Alone BBC2, 10pm (Northern Ireland, 10.30pm)
Bob Mortimer messing about with cat names and Kerry Godliman as an embarrassing mum are among the highlights of an instant sketch show recorded in lockdown homes.
Comedians are a pretty socially isolated bunch at the best of times so this makes perfect sense.
The Plastic Nile
Sky Documentaries, 9pm
Single-use plastic has become a key environmental issue and images of the River Nile choked with it show the damage is undeniable. But for some poor communities plastic can be a life-saver. So what is the solution?
Long Lost Family Special: Born Without Trace ITV, 9pm
Foundling is the kind of word you associate with Dickens but that’s the deal here. It’s a compelling detective story as we meet David and Helen, both now in their fifties, one left in a shopping bag, the other abandoned in a phone kiosk. Neither has a clue how they got there but, slowly, the pieces of the jigsaw fit together. It’s deeply moving.
