CORONA KINDNESS

- John, Birmingham

■ Thanks to Vincenzo Cologna, who has worked as a nurse at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital since July 2016. He’s an extraordinary hero, working through this pandemic with extreme courage and willingness to help the others despite having tested positive for Covid-19. He was very unwell at home for 59 days but he never lost his motivation. When he returned to work he fought with his colleagues to stop the virus. He inspires people around him every day. Eva Celaya, London

■ Thanks to my friends and family who have made a lockdown birthday really special for me.

I was dreading it but their gifts and messages have made my day. Cheers to you all!

■ I’d like to thank Jess, who’s teaching the Bible to children in our village on a weekly basis by using a fun and engaging approach. The children can learn all about Jesus while having fun in the safety of their own homes (which, in turn, gives us parents some downtime to relax!) Ross, Portland

■ Thank you to Paula Emmett, who has been my rock throughout this pandemic. She has helped me through not seeing my children and running the home while working as a bus driver in London. She truly deserves a hero nomination and thanks. Love you always. Paul Roberts, Watford

■ I’d like to give a shout-out to both my wife, Lani, and my son, Kristian. My wife has continued working as a GP’s nurse throughout the lockdown and when my son’s final year medical studies were cancelled he volunteered to work at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and is living in staff accommodation to avoid any contact with his family. I’m very proud of both of them for helping to keep our NHS services running during these difficult times. Colin Barwick, via email
