Metro (UK)

If only everyone else didn’t behave like me

-

■ Pedro complains about there being too many people on his local common and having to dodge people while he was out running (MetroTalk, Mon). Anyone else see the irony?

Kev, St Albans

■ I have to take issue with Pedro, who like many runners/ joggers in my local park believes he has the divine right to exclusive use of the free open space and, even worse, the right to run in straight lines.

We are all having to live in these terrible times and I, like Pedro, am still working and paying my taxes to help keep the country going – I equally have the same right to enjoy free open space to exercise and aid my well-being.

The guidelines allow all of us the ability to use open space to exercise. I suggest those exercising in Pedro’s area were the same as those in my own – enjoying a little free time while the good weather lasts! Jim, Watford
