China: US meddling in HK affairs with its sanctions

THE US has been urged to withdraw sanctions against four Chinese officials, saying they ‘grossly interfere in China’s internal affairs’.

The US state department said the four would be barred from travel to America and would have any assets in the country blocked. The move is in response to their roles in Hong Kong’s national security law, seen as heavily restricting free speech.
