Speedy Wunderground is very much a label of the moment, its distinctive work ethic and aesthetic directed thus far towards singles. So the first studio LP release in its sevenyear existence is a bit of an event. And on new album Positive Mental Health Music psych-pop eccentrics Tiña have come up with the goods: a set of fascinating curios, describing in deadpan fashion the small struggles and triumphs of an out-of-kilter life. Their peculiar intimacy and charm are encapsulated in the drawling, droning, endearingly fey tones of singer Josh Loftin.
