Mum’s the word as Indians win IPL

DEFENDING champions Mumbai Indians claimed their fifth Indian Premier League title yesterday, thrashing Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final in Dubai.

Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer (65 not out) and Rishabh Pant (56) struck breezy half-centuries to help them overcome a top-order collapse, triggered by Trent Boult’s three for 30, and post 156 for seven.

But Mumbai, who had beaten Delhi three times this season, prevailed again, cruising home with eight balls to spare, with Rohit Sharma smashing a fluent 68.

Changes to last week’s Six Nations XV for Ireland for Friday’s Autumn Nations Cup meeting with Wales.
