Metro (UK)

AND ANOTHER THING...

TWO pilots and the boss of a private jet company have been convicted in Turkey of helping ex-Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn to flee Japan.

The trio from Turkish firm MNG Jet were each jailed for four years and two months for migrant smuggling. Two other pilots were acquitted.

Ghosn (pictured) had been awaiting trial under house arrest in Tokyo, on financial charges, when he fled by jet to Beirut via Istanbul in December 2019.
