LITTLE KICKS AHEAD AS PERRIE JOINS LEIGH-ANNE WITH BABY NEWS
THAT’S two out of three... Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has revealed she is expecting her first child a week after bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock shared her own baby bump.
Edwards unveiled her tummy in stunning black-and-white photos with her premier league football star lover Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 27-year-old Geordie singer posted on Instagram: ‘So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!’
She has been in a relationship with the Liverpool player since early 2017.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, also 27, wrote on his own page: ‘Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? So grateful and excited to become a dad. Bring on the sleepless nights.’
Last week, Pinnock, 29, revealed she was expecting a baby with her footballer fiancé Andre Gray, who plays for Watford.
She told Edwards: ‘Arghhhhhhhh so so so happy for you both! And so bloody happy we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much.’ The third member of Little Mix, Jade Thirlwall – who is celebrating a year with Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens – also sent her congratulations, seeing herself as an auntie-in-waiting.
She wrote: ‘Beaming for you both – I’m the luckiest auntie in the world! Love youuuuu x.’
Lottie Tomlinson, sister of One Direction star Louis, and singer Ella Eyre also left messages under Edwards’s photo. Eyre wrote: ‘Shooooooooooketh to the core !!!!!! Congratulations to you all xxxx.’
Edwards confirmed her romance with Oxlade-Chamberlain in February 2017, following weeks of speculation. Sharing a photo on Instagram showing them kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower, she captioned the shot: ‘Him.’
Since forming on The X Factor in 2011, Little Mix have become one of Britain’s biggest-selling girl bands.
In December Jesy Nelson left the group, saying the high-profile role had ‘taken a toll’ on her mental health. Yesterday, she joined in the millions of likes for the baby news by pressing the heart button.
Nelson, also 29, had spoken openly about her battle with anxiety and previously revealed in a BBC documentary called Odd One Out that abuse on social media had become so bad she attempted to take her own life.
Her final hit with Little Mix was in January, when the single Sweet Melody, from their recent album Confetti, topped the charts.
