There should be equal sorrow for loss of lives

-

■ Writing after an inquest ruled that ten people shot dead by the Army in Belfast during the Troubles were ‘entirely innocent’, Steve Knight (MetroTalk, Thu) says he ‘feels far more sorrow for the families of the thousands of innocent people murdered and seriously injured by the IRA’.

I didn’t realise some families of innocent people killed illegally can be categorised as being more deserving of sympathy. Does his comment about the relatives of ‘these murderers’ no longer hiding them extend to those of British soldiers who killed the innocent? Richie, Worcester
