Alarm bells! Phones ‘can affect pacemakers’

SMARTPHONES and watches can interfere with pacemakers and defibrillators, US scientists warn. Study author Seth Seidman, of the Food and Drug Administration, said magnets in their electronics could block medical devices unless 6in away but added ‘the risk to patients is low’.
