TONIGHT’S TV CHOICE
NEW Sixteen: Class Of 2021 C4, 9pm
With lockdowns, home schooling and exam disruption to deal with, turning 16 has not exactly been sweet. The Night Of
Sky Atlantic, 10.10pm
We don’t often go for repeats but this 2016 crime thriller is well worth an exception. Both Riz Ahmed and John Turturro are outstanding in the intense tale of a young New York student who finds himself suspected of murder following a night out fuelled by drugs and casual sex. What really happened?
Alex Polizzi: My Hotel Nightmare
Channel 5, 9pm There’s been a sweet sense of schadenfreude to this series as Polizzi has struggled to revamp her own 15th-century inn in Sussex. Tonight, we reach the reveal – will fearsome Polizzi matriarch Olga approve of her daughter’s efforts?
Diamond League Athletics BBC2, 7pm
With The Hundred and Diamond League, BBC2 is repositioning itself as an alternative sports channel. It’s all about the Scandi lads tonight in Lausanne as Norway’s Tokyo gold medallists, Karsten Warholm and Jakob Ingebrigtsen, are joined in action by Sweden’s champion pole vaulter Armand Duplantis. Those three would make quite a boy band.
