AGONY FOR KEARNEY AS GB TRIO DIP INTO MEDALS

PARALYMPIC debutants Tully Kearney, Reece Dunn and Toni Shaw claimed medals for Great Britain at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

Kearney was denied gold in the S5 200metres freestyle despite leading throughout as defending champion Zhang Li snatched victory at the last.

Dunn (right) also had to settle for silver in the S14 100m butterfly behind Brazilian Gabriel Bandeira. Earlier, 18-year-old Shaw clinched bronze in S9 400m freestyle with a lifetime best of 4min 39.32sec.
