NIGHT OUT? DANIEL GOES STRAIGHT TO A GAY BAR

ANIEL CRAIG has been talking about being ‘caught’ going to gay bars – a favourite haunt when he was younger.
The James Bond star – married to Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz – went to avoid the risk of fights at ‘hetero bars’ with ‘aggressive d***-swinging’ going on.
He also said he found them a good place to pull women.
‘I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember and one of the reasons: because I don’t get into fights in gay bars that often,’ said Daniel, 53.
He said that as a kid he didn’t want ‘to end up being in a punch-up. And I did, that would happen quite a lot’. The outgoing 007, currently to be seen in No Time To Die, said gay bars ‘would just be a good place to go’, adding: ‘Everybody was chilled. Everybody, you didn’t have to state your sexuality, it was OK. And it was a very safe place to be.’
Daniel, who married Rachel in 2011, also explained why gay bars are a good place to meet women.
Chatting to his friend Bruce Bozzi for his SiriusXM podcast Lunch With Bruce, he added: ‘I could meet girls there because a lot of girls were there for exactly the same reason I was there. So there was kind of, you know, there was an ulterior motive...’
He recalled one night out with pal Bozzi in 2010, when they went to gay bar Roosterfish in Venice Beach, California. They met up because Daniel, by then five years into his stint as 007 working with the likes of Moneypenny, Q and M, wanted to talk about how his life had changed. They ended up getting ‘caught’ together at the bar and unintentionally caused media attention.
Daniel said: ‘The irony is, you know, we kind of got “caught”, I suppose, which was kind of weird because we were doing nothing wrong.
‘What happened is we were having a nice night and I was talking to you about my life when my life was changing and we got drunk and I was like, “Oh, let’s just go to a bar, come on, let’s f***ing go out”.
‘And it was at the time when I was not doing that, because what happened that night basically, we got busted again for doing nothing wrong.’
