Hoaxer’s fake bomb scare halts production of jabs
A MAN temporarily halted production of a Covid-19 vaccine by sending a suspicious package to a factory, a court heard.
The parcel sent by Anthony Collins (pictured) to a lab in Wrexham making the AstraZeneca vaccine had to be destroyed by bomb disposal experts in January.
The 54-year-old, of Chatham, Kent, was yesterday jailed for 27 months after a trial at Maidstone crown court.
