Encourage ‘woke’ pupils to bring progress, heads told

DISMISSING students who demand change as ‘woke’ risks making them give up on equality and sustainability campaigns, a leading headteacher has warned.

All schools should host talks with parents on inclusion, diversity and gender to help them understand the ‘new language’ of the young, Samantha Price, president of the Girls’ Schools Association, has told its conference. She said, if not, students’ zeal for progress would ‘end up just going by the wayside’.
