LEIGH-ANNE’S READY TO GOGO TO MOBOS

-

LITTLE MIX star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is getting her showbiz mojo back after becoming a mum to twins – she will host this year’s Mobo awards.

The singer, 30, will present the annual ceremony, which recognises and celebrates black music and culture, alongside 28-year-old comedian Munya Chawawa.

Next month Leigh-Anne can also be seen in her big-screen debut, in a Christmas romcom called Boxing Day.

Little Mix, who formed on The X Factor in 2011, carried on as a trio after Jesy Nelson announced her exit late last year, saying her high-profile role in the girl band had ‘taken a toll’ on her mental health.

Since then, Leigh-Anne, whose twins with footballer fiancé Andre Gray were born in August, has moved into presenting, fronting a BBC documentary about race.

Acts already lined up to perform at the Mobos include grime pioneer Ghetts and rappers Pa Salieu and Bree Runway, all of whom are nominated for awards. More performers will be announced ahead of the event on December 5 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Thiago Silva singer Dave is up for five awards – best male, best hip hop act, album of the year, song of the year and video of the year. Mercury Prize winner Arlo Parks follows with three nods, along with Little Simz and Cleo Sol.
