■ SSE said recent weather helped its wind and solar farms, with a shortfall in output reduced from 19 per cent to 12 per cent. The energy supplier said it had benefited from its investment in renewables as global gas prices soar.

■ MULBERRY says profits and sales will beat forecasts as it recovers from the pandemic faster than expected. The luxury fashion group said it would use some of the extra cash to up spending on advertisin­g.

■ UBER EATS customers will soon be able to order delivery of a sausage roll or a packet of chewing gum from their local BP petrol station. The firm will operate from 120 UK sites as part of a worldwide deal with the oil giant.

■ IRN-BRU maker AG Barr has hailed a boost thanks to its Funkin cocktail brand – but warned of ‘significan­t inflationa­ry pressures’. Pre-tax profit jumped 62.3 per cent to £42.2million for the year to January 30.

■ TEN pin bowling chain Ten Entertainm­ent rolled back into profit following the end of Covid restrictio­ns. It posted a £4.4million profit last year, reversing a £21.7million loss in 2020 when lockdowns pushed it into the red.
